EMO Energy Launches NEXO to Revolutionize EV Energy Stack for Last-Mile Delivery Fleets

Jun 28, 2025

EMO Energy, a deep-tech startup supported by Gruhas, Subhkam, and Transition VC, has unveiled NEXO, a fully integrated energy ecosystem tailored for India’s last-mile electric vehicle (EV) delivery fleets. Initially launching in 100 dark stores in Bengaluru and Delhi/Gurgaon, NEXO combines solar energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), fast-charging infrastructure, and proprietary AI-enabled software to streamline and optimize fleet operations.

The NEXO platform aims to address inefficiencies in India’s fragmented EV infrastructure, where separate vendors supply batteries, charging stations, software, and energy. EMO’s vertical integration includes its liquid-cooled ZenBase BESS, SWFT dual-gun fast chargers, and ZenPac 2 kWh battery packs, capable of 80% charge in 20 minutes. Managed by the company’s AI-driven SENS software, the system ensures optimal energy use by balancing solar and grid inputs.

EMO’s integrated approach is already in use at over 200 dark stores, supporting fleets for Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, Bigbasket, and Domino’s. The NEXO platform is expected to power 20,000 rides/month per store by FY26, with solar providing at least 25% of energy needs, enabling full off-grid capability in areas with limited infrastructure and delivering up to 40% cost savings at the dark store level.
