Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam (JVVNL) Issues EoI for 112.6 MW Decentralized Solar Projects Under PM-KUSUM

Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam (JVVNL) has issued an Expression of Interest (EoI) for the implementation of 112.6 MW decentralized solar projects in Rajasthan under Component A of the PM-KUSUM scheme. The initiative aims to promote farmer-led solar energy generation and rural electrification.

Project Scope
Selected bidders must:
- Design, supply, install, test, and commission the projects.
- Connect the 11 kV line to multiple 33/11 kV substations and remote monitoring systems.
- Provide 25 years of operations & maintenance for the solar plant and the 11 kV line.
- Ensure a minimum annual capacity utilization factor (CUF) of 17% over the PPA period.
- Maintain risk liability coverage for project personnel.
Project Timeline & Tariff
- Completion Deadline: 9 months from the issue of the Letter of Award.
- Eligible Project Capacity: 500 kW to 2 MW per bidder.
- Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) Tariff: Rs3.04/kWh (levelized).
Who Can Apply?
- Farmers, either individually or in groups.
- Cooperatives, Panchayats, Farmer-Producer Organizations (FPOs), Water User Associations (WUAs).
- Developers partnering with farmers.
- Lease Agreement Requirement: Bidders must provide an undertaking that their or the farmers’ land is leased for 26 years.
This initiative is expected to boost Rajasthan’s decentralized solar capacity, reduce farmers’ dependence on grid power, and promote rural solar entrepreneurship.
