National Training Programme on Biogas and CBG Technology Inaugurated

Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Hon'ble Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, inaugurated the National Training Programme on "Biogas Production, Power Generation, and Compressed Biogas (CBG) Technology" at IIT Delhi. The event, held from March 11-13, 2025, is organized under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) to enhance technical expertise in the biogas sector.

The three-day training aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of biogas production, power generation, and CBG enrichment, along with insights into relevant policies. The schedule includes:

• Expert-led sessions at IIT Delhi (Days 1 & 2) covering technical and policy aspects.
• Field visit to a 6 TPD CBG plant in Karnal, Haryana (Day 3) for hands-on exposure.

The programme is expected to boost knowledge-sharing and skill development in biogas and CBG technology, aligning with India's clean energy goals.
