NISE Completes Training for ANERT Officials

Feb 05, 2025

The National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) has successfully conducted a specialized training program for officials from the Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT). This initiative was organized in alignment with the State Nodal Agencies (SNA) meet, reinforcing collaborative efforts to accelerate solar energy adoption across India. The program aimed to equip ANERT officials with advanced knowledge and practical expertise in solar energy technologies, ensuring more effective implementation of solar projects nationwide.

Key Areas Covered
  • Solar Radiation Fundamentals – Understanding the science behind solar energy generation and its applications.
  • Solar PV Technology – Exploring the latest advancements in photovoltaic systems, their design, and performance optimization.
  • System Design & Simulation – Practical training on advanced software tools to design and simulate solar power systems efficiently.
  • Field Testing & Quality Assurance – Hands-on sessions to ensure high standards in solar project execution and maintenance.
  • Financial Structuring & DPR Preparation – Comprehensive guidance on financial modeling, cost assessment, and the development of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for solar projects.

A significant component of the program was the hands-on approach, enabling participants to engage directly with simulation tools and real-world solar system components. By combining theoretical knowledge with field-based applications, the training ensured that ANERT officials gained a well-rounded understanding of solar energy deployment. The emphasis on quality assurance and financial planning further prepared them to enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of upcoming solar projects.

NISE expressed gratitude to ANERT and all participating officials for their commitment to advancing solar energy in India. This collaboration aligns with the national goal of accelerating the clean energy transition, supporting the government’s target of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030. By fostering expertise in solar technology and financial structuring, the program is expected to contribute significantly to India’s renewable energy ecosystem.
