SJVN has released two tenders to develop rooftop solar projects totaling 7.15 MW on central government buildings across various Indian states under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. The last date for bid submission is May 28, 2025, with bid opening scheduled the same day. A tender fee of Rs5,900 and an earnest money deposit of Rs1,100 per kW are required.
The work includes design, storage, installation, testing, commissioning, site surveys, feasibility studies, and civil works. Selected developers must provide 25 years of operations and maintenance and ensure net metering and grid connectivity. Only modules and cells listed in MNRE's approved List I and II are allowed.
Bidders must have executed solar projects (rooftop, ground-mounted, or floating) of at least 500 kW in total capacity over the past seven years, with at least one project of 100 kW or more that has been operational for at least six months. Only SJVN-empanelled bidders will be evaluated based on financial eligibility.
Tender 1 (2.3 MW) covers Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra, requiring a turnover of Rs16,500/kW. Tender 2 (4.7 MW) spans northeastern and Himalayan states plus the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, needing Rs15,000/kW in turnover. This follows SJVN’s recent 10.59 MW rooftop solar tenders across other Indian regions.
