SJVN Floats Tenders for 10.59 MW Rooftop Solar Projects Across Government Buildings

May 07, 2025

SJVN has invited bids for the development of 10.59 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects across government buildings in northern, southern, and eastern India. The last date to submit bids is May 27, 2025, with bids opening the same day. The tenders span installations of 2,496 kW in the North, 5,140 kW in the South, and 2,954 kW in the East. Each project site will have a minimum system size of 10 kW, expandable based on site feasibility.

The scope includes the design, engineering, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning, along with 25 years of operation and maintenance. Projects must comply with net or gross metering as per state regulations. From June 1, 2026, modules and cells must be sourced from ALMM List-I and II, respectively.

Bidders are required to submit an EMD of Rs1,000/kW and a PBG of Rs2,500/kW. Eligibility includes a minimum 500 kW solar project track record, with one 100 kW system operational for at least six months, and an average turnover of Rs15,000/kW over FY22–FY24.

This follows SJVN’s recent 1.604 MW rooftop solar tender in Arunachal Pradesh under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, reinforcing its commitment to decentralized solar energy expansion.
