Telangana to Host State Task Force Consultation on Agrivoltaics on July 25

The India Agrivoltaics Alliance (IAA), in collaboration with the India Climate Collaborative, is set to organize the Telangana State Task Force Consultation on Agrivoltaics on July 25, 2025, in Hyderabad. This pivotal event will bring together farmers, policymakers, and clean energy innovators to explore ways of integrating solar energy with agriculture—a concept known as agrivoltaics. The consultation is expected to foster collaborative strategies and actionable insights to promote dual land-use systems that improve both crop yields and renewable energy generation.

The initiative aligns with national and state-level visions, including Viksit Bharat 2047 and Telangana’s Green Mission, aiming to create a sustainable, resilient, and energy-secure future. The Task Force Consultation will act as a platform to co-develop a roadmap for agrivoltaics deployment across Telangana, with the goal of enhancing climate resilience in agriculture and supporting India’s broader renewable energy goals.
