WorldOne Energies to Set Up 1 GW Solar Module Plant in Canada to Meet Global Demand

Jul 10, 2025

Nagpur-based WorldOne Energies has announced plans to establish a 1 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Ontario, Canada, as part of its global expansion strategy. The new plant will produce high-efficiency TOPCon bifacial solar modules to meet rising international demand and foster cross-border clean energy collaboration. This move follows a recent meeting between WorldOne CEO Mark Garvin and Canada’s Minister of Export Promotion, Maninder Sidhu, to deepen energy cooperation between Canada and India.

WorldOne Energies currently has a manufacturing capacity of 1.2 GW for modules and offers integrated solutions including battery energy storage systems, EV charging infrastructure, and advanced hybrid inverters for various applications. The company is targeting major markets such as the U.S., UK, Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

In April 2025, WorldOne commissioned a Rs2 billion 1.2 GW solar module facility in Nagpur, producing 525 Wp to 650 Wp N-type TOPCon mono and bifacial modules. It also plans to expand its cell production from 2 GW to 5 GW and scale module capacity to 10 GW.

India added 5.3 GW of module and 11.6 GW of cell capacity in 2024, largely due to demand from the project pipeline and the reinstatement of the ALMM order in April 2024.
