Sept 01, 2025
ABB India Ltd. has secured a domestic order worth Rs173.55 crore from Siemens Gamesa Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, for the manufacture and supply of 3.X wind turbine converters and electrical cabinets. The components will be produced at ABB India’s Nelamangala facility in Bengaluru on a built-to-print basis.
Deliveries under the contract will take place monthly from January to December 2026. ABB India clarified that the order does not involve any related party transactions or promoter interests. By localising production, the company aims to ensure timely execution, strengthen supply chain reliability, and reinforce its contribution to India’s clean energy transition.
This development highlights ABB India’s growing role in bolstering renewable energy infrastructure and advancing domestic manufacturing in the wind sector. The partnership with Siemens Gamesa is expected to support India’s wind power targets while building capacity for critical turbine components.
