ACME Solar Commissions First 28 MW of 100 MW Wind Project in Gujarat

Oct 19, 2025

ACME Solar Holdings has commissioned the first 28 MW phase of its 100 MW wind power project in Surendranagar, Gujarat, strengthening its clean energy portfolio.

With this milestone, the company’s operational capacity has increased from 2,890 MW to 2,918 MW, ACME announced in a statement on October 18. The ACME Eco Clean Wind Project, financed by the Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and executed through in-house EPC, channels power to a 33/220 kV pooling station, which connects to the Shapar substation via a dedicated 220 kV transmission line.

The new installation will share infrastructure with ACME’s earlier 50 MW wind project, and power generated will be supplied to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

According to the company, the remaining phases of the 100 MW project will be commissioned progressively. Strategically located in one of India’s most wind-rich regions, the project is expected to play a key role in advancing India’s renewable energy transition.
