ACME Solar Commissions First 52.5 MW Phase of 300 MW Sikar Project in Rajasthan

May 12, 2025

ACME Solar Holdings has commissioned the first 52.5 MW of its 300 MW Sikar Solar Power Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This milestone raises ACME’s total operational solar capacity from 2,540 MW to 2,592.5 MW. Located in one of India’s highest solar irradiation zones, the project is expected to play a vital role in advancing the country’s clean energy ambitions.

Spanning approximately 1,300 acres, the solar power project is designed to pool electricity at inverter stations and evacuate it to the Bikaner-II grid via a dedicated single circuit 220 kV transmission line. Upon full commissioning, the project is projected to generate around 78 crore units of clean electricity annually.

Financing for the project is provided by Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC). The electricity produced will be traded on power exchanges on a merchant basis, allowing for dynamic commercial allocation based on market optimization.

This project is part of ACME Solar’s broader portfolio expansion and reinforces the company’s role as a key player in India’s renewable energy sector. The scalable and market-driven approach underlines the transition towards flexible power generation in the evolving energy landscape.
