ACME Solar Wins 50 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Project from Tata Power-D
Sept 05, 2025
ACME Solar Holdings has secured a letter of award (LoA) from Tata Power-D to develop a 50 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project at a tariff of Rs4.43/kWh.
The project, part of Tata Power-D’s 250 MW FDRE tender, will combine solar and battery energy storage to deliver four hours of dispatchable power daily with 90% monthly availability and a 40% annual CUF.
Backed by a 25-year PPA, the project must be commissioned within 24 months. ACME, with 6.97 GW operational and contracted capacity, has been expanding aggressively, winning NTPC’s 1,200 MW FDRE auction last year and recently securing Rs31.84 billion financing for a 280 MW FDRE project. The company also went public in 2024 with a Rs29 billion IPO, reinforcing its position as one of India’s leading renewable energy developers.
