ACME Wins SECI Auction to Supply 20,000 TPA Green Ammonia at Rs64.74/kg
Aug 27, 2025
ACME Cleantech Solutions has emerged as the winner of the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) latest auction to supply 20,000 tons per annum (TPA) of green ammonia under the SIGHT program (Mode-2A-Tranche-I). The company quoted Rs64.74/kg, the highest tariff under this scheme so far, compared to its earlier bids of Rs49.75/kg and around Rs51–55/kg in previous auctions.
The awarded green ammonia will be supplied to Indorama India in Haldia, West Bengal. To meet this commitment, ACME must set up its own production, storage, and delivery facilities, secure land and permits, and manage logistics until final delivery. Trading or arbitrage is not allowed, though the company may source up to 10% of its supply from third parties.
ACME has the flexibility to use co-located or remote renewable energy projects or procure electricity from power exchanges to power production.
This win adds to ACME’s growing list of achievements in India’s green ammonia market. In the past months alone, the company secured SECI contracts for 100,000 TPA (Rs54.73/kg), 50,000 TPA (Rs51.89/kg), and 75,000 TPA (Rs55.7/kg). These auctions are part of SECI’s 13-tender series totaling 724,000 MT/year procurement.
