Adani Green Adds 125 MW Solar at Khavda, Expands Portfolio to Nearly 16 GW

Adani Renewable Energy Fifty-Six, a subsidiary of Adani Green Energy (AGEL), has commissioned an additional 125 MW solar power project at Khavda, Gujarat, pushing AGEL’s total operational renewable portfolio to 15,990.5 MW. The mix now includes 11,005.5 MW of solar, 1,977.8 MW of wind, and 2,556.6 MW of wind-solar hybrid capacity.
AGEL led India’s utility-scale solar market in 2024, accounting for 17.6% of new capacity with 2.6 GW commissioned, including 2 GW from its flagship 8 GW Khavda project, as per Mercom’s Solar Market Leaderboard 2025.
Financially, the company posted a 31% YoY revenue growth, reaching Rs33.13 billion in Q1 FY26. Beyond solar and wind, AGEL is advancing in pumped hydro storage projects, including 1,250 MW Panaura PSP in Uttar Pradesh, and large projects in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
In March 2025, AGEL also secured $1.06 billion long-term refinancing for its Rajasthan wind-solar projects, featuring a 19-year fully amortized debt structure.
