Adani Green Energy Operationalises 408 MW Renewable Projects in Khavda

Oct 01, 2025

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has commissioned 408.1 MW of renewable projects at Khavda, Gujarat, through its stepdown subsidiaries. The newly added capacity includes 87.5 MW solar by Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six, 124.8 MW wind by Adani Renewable Energy Forty One, and 195.8 MW hybrid projects by other subsidiaries. These plants began operations on September 30, 2025, following regulatory clearances.

With this milestone, AGEL’s total operational renewable capacity now stands at 16,486.1 MW, marking continued progress towards its large-scale green energy goals. Notably, AGEL is developing the world’s largest renewable energy park at Khavda, spanning 538 sq km with a planned capacity of 30,000 MW—five times the size of Paris and visible from space.

The company has been actively securing long-term agreements to ensure stable growth. In May 2025, AGEL signed a 400 MW solar PPA with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. (UPPCL) at INR 2.57/unit, while in April 2025, its subsidiary inked a PPA with UPPCL for 1,250 MW pumped hydro storage.

Looking ahead, AGEL targets 50 GW capacity by 2030, backed by a USD 3.4 billion construction facility and a group-wide USD 21 billion investment plan. The company is diversifying across solar, wind, hybrid, and pumped hydro, while also tapping into the commercial, industrial, and merchant segments to strengthen its renewable portfolio.
