Aug 30, 2025
Adani Wind, the wind energy manufacturing arm of Adani New Industries, has bagged a 165 MW wind turbine supply order from Fourth Partner Energy (FPEL) for projects in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Gujarat. The deal includes 50 turbines from Adani’s 3.3 MW platform and covers ex-works supply of nacelles, hubs, drivetrains, blade sets, towers, as well as supervision of foundations, commissioning, and long-term O&M services.
Highlighting Adani Wind’s “Make in India” focus, CEO Milind Kulkarni said the company is committed to green jobs and self-reliant growth. FPEL’s Head of Operations, Srinivasa Male Reddy, called the partnership a step toward their 9 GW clean energy portfolio target by FY31, stressing its impact on sustainability and India’s energy independence. FPEL is actively developing over 2 GW of solar and wind projects in the C&I segment, with 1.6 GW already operational and plans to scale to 3.6 GW by FY27, supported by a recent $275 million equity raise from IFC, ADB, and DEG.
Adani Wind, which operates a 2.25 GW integrated manufacturing facility in Mundra, has also secured recent external orders of 69.3 MW each from First Energy and Opera Energy, strengthening its presence in India’s growing wind sector.
