Adani Wind Wins 304 MW Orders, Plans Global Expansion

Aug 27, 2025

Adani Wind, the wind turbine division of Adani New Industries Ltd, has secured 304 MW worth of turbine orders from independent power producers for projects in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. The company will supply its 3.3 MW wind turbine model, marking a strong step in supporting India’s clean energy growth.

Each megawatt of wind power requires about Rs6 crore investment, which means these new orders are valued at approximately Rs1,820 crore. While Adani did not disclose the exact deal size, the orders reinforce the group’s position as a serious player in India’s renewable energy sector.

Adani Wind was established in 2016 and has been steadily expanding its capabilities. The company now aims to become a global turbine supplier, with plans to deliver up to 1.25 GW of turbine capacity to external customers by FY26.

This development comes as India works toward its target of 500 GW of clean energy by 2030, with wind energy expected to contribute 100 GW. By focusing on both domestic installations and international markets, Adani Wind is positioning itself to play a key role in the global renewable energy landscape.
