Alpex Solar and TP Solar, a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy, have won the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) auction to supply 400 MW of domestically manufactured solar modules. Alpex Solar secured 97.5 MW, while TP Solar won 292.5 MW, with a bid value of ?21.61/Wp. SECI awarded 390 MW out of the total 400 MW capacity.

The project will include mono and bifacial crystalline technology modules, with mandatory spares of 0.5% of the awarded capacity. This auction is part of SECI's broader initiative to boost India's solar module manufacturing capacity, which now stands at 67,401 MW, with recent updates to the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.
