Alt Mobility, a full-stack electric vehicle (EV) as-a-service company focused on integrated leasing and asset management for commercial EV fleets, has received an equity investment from Beyond Capital Ventures (BCV), an emerging markets venture capital fund. BCV joins a roster of notable investors including Shell Ventures, Eurazeo, and EV2 Ventures.

Despite significant growth in India’s EV market, challenges such as limited charging infrastructure outside Tier-1 cities, emerging battery recycling efforts, insufficient financing for informal sectors, and low electrification of commercial fleets remain. Alt Mobility addresses these gaps by uniting vehicle manufacturers, lenders, fleet operators, charging point operators, and drivers on a single platform. Their offering extends beyond leasing to encompass vehicle standardization, financing, after-sales management, and maintenance.

Alt Mobility’s competitive edge comes from its in-house battery technology and service network, no down-payment leasing model, and comprehensive asset underwriting—making it India’s only fully integrated EV financing player. CEO Dev Arora expressed optimism for growth, focusing on market expansion, ecosystem integration, and reducing EV total cost of ownership.

BCV’s Managing Partner, Eva Yazhari, highlighted their investment as part of a strategy to support visionary founders building integrated platforms that drive transformative change in key sectors. Alt Mobility aims to expand its fleet to 30,000 EVs and reach USD 100 million assets under management by March 2027, while also enhancing its digital asset management platform and standardizing battery technology.
