AMPIN Commissions 50 MW Open Access Solar Project in Chhattisgarh

Sept 03, 2025

AMPIN Energy Transition has commissioned a 50 MW open access solar project in Bemetara, Chhattisgarh, supplying renewable power to Texmaco Rail and Engineering. The project, completed in just nine months, is expected to generate 78.21 million units of electricity annually, enabling Texmaco to replace over 80% of its conventional grid consumption with clean energy. This shift is projected to deliver 30–40% savings compared to prevailing retail tariffs.

This is AMPIN’s first project in Chhattisgarh, underscoring the state’s favorable green energy open access policy and ease of doing business. The company is also developing a 21 MW solar project and an additional 100 MW of renewable capacity in the state. Texmaco, on its part, has already commissioned a 10 MW open-access solar project and a 50 kW rooftop solar system to support its clean energy goals.

AMPIN currently operates a 5 GW renewable energy portfolio across 23 states, covering solar, wind, and storage solutions. Backed by strong financial support, including a recent $50 million investment from Siemens Financial Services, AMPIN has raised nearly $700 million in equity capital to date and deployed over $4 billion in clean energy projects, further solidifying its position in the C&I and utility-scale renewable markets.
