Avaada Electro Launches India’s First 720 Wp TOPCon Solar Modules, Scales Manufacturing to 12 GW
Jun 13, 2025
Avaada Electro, the manufacturing arm of the Avaada Group, has become the first Indian company to commercially launch 720 Wp N-type TOPCon bifacial solar modules. The announcement coincides with the inclusion of its Butibori plant in Nagpur on the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM). The facility, featuring AI-integrated production lines and smart energy systems, is set to reach a manufacturing capacity of 7 GW by next month.
The ALMM certification covers Avaada’s high-efficiency Glass-to-Glass G12 modules (up to 720 Wp) and G12R modules (up to 630 Wp). Alongside the ALMM approval, the company has commercially launched its BIS-certified N-type TOPCon modules in both 720 Wp and 630 Wp variants, reinforcing its technical leadership in India’s solar sector.
Avaada Electro is also on track to scale up to a 12 GW integrated solar module and cell manufacturing ecosystem by the next financial year. This ecosystem includes the production of upstream components such as ingots, wafers, glass, encapsulants, and packaging materials, aligning with India’s ambition for solar self-reliance under the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.
Chairman Vineet Mittal emphasized that the AI-driven, energy-optimized facility represents India’s industrial resilience and Avaada’s commitment to sustainable innovation and scale.
