Avaada Launches Centre of Excellence with SCGJ to Skill Workforce for Green Hydrogen Economy

Jun 20, 2025

Avaada Group, in partnership with the Skill Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ), has inaugurated a Centre of Excellence (CoE) at its Giga Factory in Dadri to accelerate workforce development for India’s green hydrogen economy. The CoE will provide industry-aligned training in clean energy technologies, including solar, battery storage, and green hydrogen. A specialized Green Hydrogen Training Program for supervisors and technicians will also be launched soon, co-certified under TISA: Training in Innovative Solar Applications.

This initiative supports key national missions such as the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM) and Skill India. Avaada Chairperson Vineet Mittal emphasized the importance of skilling people alongside setting clean energy targets, calling the initiative a bridge from ambition to execution. SCGJ CEO Arpit Sharma called the partnership a potential national benchmark, noting the need to train 600,000 workers for the green hydrogen sector.

The CoE aims to serve as a premier training and capacity-building hub, with plans to submit a joint proposal to the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for national alignment. Avaada continues to lead India’s clean energy transition by integrating solar manufacturing, green hydrogen production, and community development under a unified approach.
