Bajel Projects Wins Rs300–400 Cr EPC Order for Siwani-Jind Transmission Line from PGCIL
Jul 05, 2025
Bajel Projects has secured a major EPC order worth Rs300–400 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) for Package TL04 of the 400 kV double-circuit (quad) Siwani-Jind transmission line. This project is part of the broader initiative to evacuate 12 GW of renewable energy under REZ Phase-IV in Rajasthan. PGCIL is executing the project through its special purpose vehicle, POWERGRID Siwani Transmission.
The scope includes establishing a new 765/400 kV substation at Siwani, installing a static synchronous compensator, building 765 kV and 400 kV DC transmission lines across Rajasthan and Haryana, and carrying out bay extension works at substations in both states. Bajel will also construct a 99 km, 400 kV transmission line, with a strict 18-month completion deadline.
The transmission network is crucial for evacuating power from the 12 GW capacity that PGCIL is developing through two 6 GW projects in Rajasthan’s Bikaner complex. This aligns with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s plan to tap 75 GW of renewable potential in the state.
Bajel Projects, with a strong track record in high-voltage transmission, operates in power transmission, distribution, monopoles, and international EPC markets.
