Bentley Systems Launches Open API and Portal for Blyncsy Roadway Intelligence Platform

Bentley Systems has unveiled a new open API framework and self-service portal for its Blyncsy roadway intelligence platform, aimed at expanding access to real-time infrastructure analytics. Announced at the Northeast Association of State Transportation Officials (NASTO) Conference in the U.S., the tools enable third-party developers, transportation agencies, and private businesses to seamlessly integrate Blyncsy’s AI-powered data into their platforms.

Blyncsy, which leverages AI and crowdsourced dash camera imagery, offers automated insights into road conditions and assets. With the latest update, the platform now includes pedestrian and bicyclist detection, in addition to features like road debris and vegetation monitoring. Future detection enhancements are expected later this year.

The standardized API interface and customizable access via the new portal are designed to boost innovation in smart city planning, autonomous vehicle development, infrastructure maintenance, and EV infrastructure planning. Bentley’s move is expected to foster broader partnerships and accelerate the adoption of data-driven decision-making in transportation systems.

Mark Pittman, Bentley’s Senior Director of Transportation AI, emphasized the significance of the new framework in promoting safer, more efficient roads. The tools are now available through the Blyncsy website, reinforcing Bentley’s commitment to smarter, resilient infrastructure development.
