BGR Tech Partners with South Korea’s Elchemtech to Bring Advanced PEM Electrolyser Technology to India

BGR Tech Ltd., a subsidiary of Prenora in India, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with South Korea’s Elchemtech Co. Ltd. to introduce advanced Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) water electrolyser technology in India. This strategic collaboration aligns with India's green hydrogen goals and explores local manufacturing under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

• Technology Focus: High-efficiency H2Lyser PEM Water Electrolyser (PEMWE)
• Hydrogen Production Capacity: 240 Nm³/hour (1.25 MW per stack)
• Local Manufacturing & Assembly: Both companies will assess options for PEM stack production in India
• BGR Tech’s Role:
  • Integrating Balance of Plant (BoP) solutions
  • Handling ultrapure water treatment, gas separation, hydrogen & oxygen purification, and low-pressure storage
  • Modular skid-based system deployment for scalability

This partnership positions BGR Tech and Elchemtech as key players in India’s green hydrogen ecosystem, addressing challenges like cost reduction and supply chain efficiency.
