Bihar State Power Generation Company Invites Bids for 116 MW Solar + 241 MWh BESS Project in Bihar

Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited (BSPGCL) has issued a tender for the EPC of a 116 MW solar power plant and a 241 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Lakhisarai district. The combined project cost is estimated at Rs1,064 crore. Interested bidders must submit their bids by April 10, 2025, along with a tender fee of Rs29,500 and an earnest money deposit of Rs10.64 crore.

The EPC work must be completed within 18 months, and the winning bidder will be required to provide O&M services for 10 years. The BESS must deliver 50.5 MW of power continuously for four hours, and all solar modules must be sourced from the MNRE’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-I.

Bidders must have commissioned at least 150 MW of solar capacity in India over the past decade, with minimum experience in one 60 MW, two 45 MW, or three 30 MW projects. They must also have experience with at least one grid-connected 5 MWh BESS project, or own a battery manufacturing unit in India with 500 MWh annual capacity. Additionally, bidders must have had a turnover of Rs1,350 crore over the past three years and maintain a positive net worth.
