Blue Energy Motors to Establish EV Truck Manufacturing Facility in Maharashtra

Blue Energy Motors, part of Essar’s green mobility initiative, signed an MoU with the Maharashtra government to build a manufacturing facility for 30,000 electric trucks annually. The INR 3,500 crore investment includes advanced R&D, a battery pack line, a motor unit, and charging stations.
The project, set to begin in FY 2025-26, aims to generate over 4,000 jobs. This initiative highlights Maharashtra's push for sustainable transport and Blue Energy Motors’ commitment to advancing green mobility.
