BluPine Energy Signs 25-Year PPA with SECI for 150 MW Solar + Storage Project in Rajasthan

BluPine Energy, via its special purpose vehicle Solarcraft Power India 17 Pvt. Ltd., has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). This agreement is for a 150 MW solar project integrated with energy storage, located in the Bikaner district of Rajasthan. The project is part of SECI’s tender to procure 2,000 MW of solar power with 1,000 MW/4,000 MWh of energy storage, aimed at enhancing the reliability of renewable power.

This solar-plus-storage setup is designed to provide firm and dispatchable renewable energy—meaning the power can be supplied as needed, even during times when sunlight isn’t available. The integrated energy storage system will improve grid stability, support peak-hour energy demand, and increase the dependable use of solar energy.

BluPine Energy is a renewable energy platform in India backed by Actis, a global investment firm focused on sustainable infrastructure. With a strong $800 million backing from Actis’ Energy Fund 5, BluPine is working on building a clean energy portfolio of over 4 GW across India.
