Jan 01, 2025

China installed 25 GW of solar and 6 GW of wind in November 2024, marking a 17% and 46% increase year-on-year, respectively. From January to November, the country added 206 GW of solar and 52 GW of wind, both showing a 25% year-on-year growth. This solar capacity surpasses the total solar capacity installed by the U.S., the global no 2, in just 11 months, and the wind power surpasses the total installed by India, the no 4 wind power country.

Solar panel exports grew by 17% from January to October 2024, reaching 174 GW, with significant increases in exports to Asia-Pacific (49%) and the Middle East (100%). However, exports to Europe saw an 8% decline, though Europe remained the largest market with 85 GW exported during the same period.
