Cleantech Solar Commissions 100 MWp Open Access Solar Park in Maharashtra for Industrial Clients

Apr 25, 2025

Cleantech Solar has commissioned its seventh renewable energy park in Maharashtra—a 100 MWp open access solar PV facility designed to serve blue-chip industrial clients. This state-of-the-art solar park supplies power on a captive basis, enabling manufacturing companies to meet their energy needs while significantly lowering their carbon footprint.

The project strengthens Cleantech Solar’s position as a leading renewable energy provider in Maharashtra and across India. Its client base includes top-tier chemical and FMCG manufacturers, such as DRT-Anthea, a multinational specialty chemical company. This is their second collaboration with Cleantech Solar in the state, now sourcing about 70% of their power needs from renewable energy. DRT-Anthea praised the partnership for helping them achieve sustainability targets and reduce their environmental impact.

According to PherozeChichgar, Chief Business Officer at Cleantech Solar, the company’s focus on best-in-class technology and long-term partnerships helps clients manufacture sustainably while benefiting from reliable and cost-effective energy solutions. This initiative highlights the growing trend of industrial players investing in green energy to secure stable power supply and meet ESG goals.

The project also reaffirms the role of open access solar in driving India’s energy transition, especially in industrial-heavy states like Maharashtra where clean, efficient power is crucial for sustainable growth.
