Climate Group’s EV100 Report Shows Over 700,000 EVs Deployed Globally Amid Rising Fleet Ambitions
Apr 19, 2025
The Climate Group's latest report, "Turning Commitment into Action – How Ambitious Fleets are Driving the Global EV Transition Forward", highlights major progress by members of the EV100 and EV100+ initiatives. These programs are accelerating the electrification of transport across nearly 80 markets, despite global challenges.
Over the past year, EV100 members added 127,000 EVs, bringing the total to over 700,000 deployed globally. Around 70% of members report staying on track toward their target of 100% fleet electrification by 2030. Several companies—like AstraZeneca, Deloitte, Capgemini, and Aviva—have already electrified over 50% of their fleets.
The report also emphasizes the growing infrastructure footprint, with charging facilities now available at 4,277 global locations for staff and customers. In the medium- and heavy-duty vehicle (MHDV) segment, where challenges are greater, nearly 400 electric trucks have been deployed by EV100+ members.
The network continues to expand, with EV deployment commitments now covering 130 countries, including 13 new markets such as Kenya, Uzbekistan, and Ethiopia. These developments underscore the resilience and ambition of companies driving forward the EV revolution.
