Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited has received a letter of empanelment (LoE) from the Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL) for the design, manufacturing, supply, installation, and commissioning of off-grid direct and alternate current solar photovoltaic water pumping systems (SPWPS).

The order covers pumps with capacities of 2 HP, 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP, which will be installed across Madhya Pradesh under the PM Krishak Mitra Surya Yojana. The total contract value stands at Rs42.4 million, with project execution mandated within 60 days from the issuance of the work order.

This development comes on the heels of Crompton Greaves’ earlier success in July 2025, when the company secured a letter of award from the Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) to supply and install 4,500 off-grid SPWPS.

By focusing on solar-powered irrigation solutions, Crompton Greaves is playing a key role in promoting sustainable agriculture, reducing farmers’ dependence on grid electricity and diesel pumps, and advancing India’s clean energy goals. The company’s growing presence in the solar pumping segment highlights its strategy to leverage its expertise in electrical systems for renewable energy-driven rural development.
