Datta Infra Appoints Gnanajothi Anandan as Head of EPC to Lead Expansion in RE Projects

Datta Power Infra Private Limited (Datta Infra) has appointed Gnanajothi Anandan as its new Head of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), effective March 2025, to strengthen its project delivery capabilities amid rapid expansion in renewable energy.
With over 20 years of experience in the renewable sector, Gnanajothi will lead the execution of major solar and wind EPC projects across Indian and international geographies. His responsibilities include engineering cost optimization, construction productivity, contract finalization, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. His leadership will play a key role in building high-performance teams and managing project risks to ensure seamless delivery.
Managing Director and CEO Varchasvi Gagal welcomed Gnanajothi, highlighting his EPC leadership of nearly 1.5 GW of capacity across India, the Middle East, and Australia, and noted that his strategic vision will be critical to Datta Infra’s growth objectives.
Gnanajothi expressed enthusiasm about joining the company during a “pivotal phase of growth and opportunity” and aims to apply his expertise to deliver world-class renewable energy projects and build collaborative, efficient teams.
Previously, he held leadership roles at Sembcorp, Enel, and Marubeni, delivering turnkey and package-mode EPC projects across Rajasthan, MP, Gujarat, Karnataka, TN, and Maharashtra for clients such as SECI, SJVN, and NTPC. He is also certified in PMP, PgMP, and CCMAP-WCC, strengthening his project governance and commercial acumen.
This appointment reflects Datta Infra’s commitment to operational excellence and its strategic intent to scale renewable infrastructure both domestically and globally.
