Envision Energy India Secures 501.6 MW Wind Turbine Order from Evren for Andhra Pradesh Projects
Oct 14, 2025
Envision Energy India has announced a major milestone with a 501.6 MW order from Evren to supply 152 Smart Wind Turbines for upcoming wind energy projects in Andhra Pradesh, marking another significant step in India’s renewable energy expansion.
Major Order Strengthens India’s Wind Capacity
Under the agreement, Envision will supply 152 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) based on its EN 156/3.3 MW turbine platform. These turbines feature a 156-metre rotor diameter and a 140-metre hub height, optimized for Indian wind conditions to maximize energy yield and lower the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCoE).
The project will be executed across multiple sites in Andhra Pradesh, reinforcing both companies’ commitment to scaling India’s clean energy transition.
Partnership for Large-Scale Renewable Growth
Evren, backed by the Brookfield Global Transition Fund (BGTF), aims to develop over 10 GW of renewable assets across solar, wind, and battery storage in key Indian states, including Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.
“It is a proud moment for us to partner with Evren on this 501.6 MW order for our Smart Wind Turbines,” said RPV Prasad, Managing Director of Envision Energy India.
“This collaboration marks our first step in supporting Evren’s large-scale decarbonization efforts, strengthening our role as a trusted energy solutions partner.”
Echoing this sentiment, Suman Kumar, CEO of Evren, said:
“Our partnership with Envision Energy India reflects our confidence in their proven technology and aligns with our mission to accelerate India’s clean energy transition.”
Driving Domestic Manufacturing and Investment
With over 16 GW in its global order book, Envision Energy India operates manufacturing facilities in Trichy and Pune, having already produced 4.5 GW of turbines and commissioned 2.5 GW of projects nationwide.
The company recently announced an additional INR 500 crore investment to expand its domestic footprint, including:
• A second blade manufacturing plant in Gujarat
• A new generator and gearbox facility in Maharashtra
These initiatives will enhance local manufacturing, create jobs, and strengthen India’s clean technology ecosystem.
