GAIL (India) has issued an EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) tender for a 17.5 MW (AC) floating solar project at its facility in Pata, Uttar Pradesh. The deadline to submit bids is May 20, 2025, and they will be opened the next day. Bidders must provide an earnest money deposit of Rs0.775 crore, and the project is to be completed within 12 months of award.
The project scope covers complete design to commissioning of the floating solar plant, including power evacuation systems. Importantly, only solar modules listed under the government’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) can be used.

Financial criteria include an average annual turnover of Rs43.1 crore over the past three years, a positive net worth, and Rs8.6 crore in working capital or an equivalent line of credit.
