GAIL (India) Ltd. Issues Tender for 17.5 MW Floating Solar Plant in Uttar Pradesh

GAIL (India) Ltd. has released a tender for setting up a 17.5 MW (AC) floating solar power plant at its facility in Pata, Uttar Pradesh. The project involves comprehensive work including design, engineering, supply, construction, and commissioning of the grid-connected floating solar plant, along with the power evacuation system.
Bidders must provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services for three years and a ten-year Annual Maintenance Contract (CAMC) for critical equipment. An earnest money deposit (EMD) of INR 77.52 lakh is required for bidders.
The last date for submitting bids is May 20, 2025, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on May 21, 2025. Bidders must have completed projects in the past seven years involving the supply, installation, and commissioning of grid-connected floating or ground-mounted solar power plants. The plant's minimum capacity requirements vary depending on the number of completed projects. Additionally, bidders must meet financial requirements such as a minimum average turnover of INR 43.10 crore and a positive net worth from the last audited financial year.
