GameChange BOS Opens Transformer Manufacturing Plant in Maharashtra
Aug 22, 2025
GameChange Energy’s division, GameChange BOS, has launched a state-of-the-art medium voltage transformer manufacturing facility in Taloja, Maharashtra. Spread across 180,000 sq. ft., the factory has the capacity to produce more than 1,800 transformers annually. This expansion strengthens the company’s ability to serve markets in India, Europe, and the United States.
The new facility will manufacture transformers across the 0.5–25 MVA range with voltage ratings up to 69 kV. These products are designed to meet the needs of rapidly growing sectors including renewable energy, AI-powered data centers, large-scale electrification infrastructure, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
GameChange BOS CEO Andrew Worden highlighted that the facility will deliver fast, reliable, and cost-efficient solutions, positioning the company as a key global player in the electrification sector. Equipped with advanced manufacturing and testing technologies, the plant ensures compliance with the highest international standards.
This investment aligns with India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives, boosting domestic manufacturing and reducing reliance on imports. It also positions India as a competitive exporter of advanced transformer solutions. With India’s power demand expected to nearly triple by 2035, the facility will play a critical role in supporting industrial growth and clean energy transition.
