GreenCell Mobility Secures LOA for 1,222 Electric Buses in MP & AP Under PM E-Bus Sewa Scheme

GreenCell Mobility has been awarded the Letter of Award (LOA) for the supply and deployment of 472 Eicher electric buses across six cities in Madhya Pradesh under the PM E-Bus Sewa Scheme. The company has partnered with VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) to execute this initiative, bringing state-of-the-art electric public transportation to the region.
In addition, GreenCell Mobility is collaborating with Pinnacle Mobility Solutions (EKA Mobility) to deploy 750 electric buses across 11 cities in Andhra Pradesh. These large-scale deployments mark a significant step in India’s push toward cleaner and smarter urban mobility.
GreenCell Mobility, backed by Eversource Capital, is already operating 900 electric buses in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. These new contracts will expand its footprint across Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh, supported by robust charging infrastructure and a focus on high-performance, zero-emission transit.
The electric buses, built for efficiency and comfort, offer over 250 km of range, fast-charging, AI-based energy management, and advanced safety features. This initiative is part of the central government’s PM E-Bus Sewa Scheme, which aims to deploy 10,000 electric buses nationwide, with CESL floating tenders for 4,588 units in FY 2024-25.
