GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd., an Essar initiative and India's only green logistics provider using LNG and electric heavy trucks, has partnered with Bekaert to reduce the carbon footprint of road logistics. The collaboration began with the deployment of LNG-powered trucks at Bekaert’s Ranjangaon plant in Maharashtra, kicking off a pilot aimed at sustainable transport. Each LNG truck is expected to cut around 24 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually, supporting Bekaert’s goal of reaching net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and having 65% of its sales from sustainable solutions.

GreenLine’s CEO, Anand Mimani, highlighted the company’s integrated ecosystem — including LNG refuelling, real-time telematics, and fleet support — as key to helping partners achieve their ESG targets. Bekaert's Dinesh Mukhedkar emphasized that decarbonising logistics aligns with their broader mission of promoting safe, smart, and sustainable solutions under their ESG commitments.

To date, GreenLine’s LNG fleet has run over 40 million kilometers, avoiding more than 10,000 tonnes of CO2. The company plans a large-scale expansion, deploying over 10,000 LNG and EV trucks, backed by a robust network of 100 LNG stations, EV chargers, and battery swapping points. This ambitious rollout aims to eliminate 1 million tonnes of carbon emissions annually, reinforcing India’s green mobility goals.
