H&H Aluminium Launches India’s Largest Solar Frame Plant in Gujarat to Boost Domestic Manufacturing

Jul 07, 2025

Gujarat-based H&H Aluminium has inaugurated a state-of-the-art aluminium solar frame manufacturing plant in Rajkot with an annual capacity of 24,000 metric tons, supporting up to 6 GW of solar installations. Built with an investment of Rs150 crore over 28,000 sq. meters, the plant is expected to generate Rs700–750 crore in annual revenue and employ over 300 people. Trial production began in June 2025, with commercial operations set to start by August.

Inaugurated by Union Minister of Jal Shakti C.R. Patil on July 4, 2025, the facility is touted as India’s largest single-location solar frame plant and aligns with the 'Make in India' initiative. With India currently importing 90–95% of its aluminium frames, the plant is expected to significantly reduce reliance on imports, especially after the imposition of a 5-year anti-dumping duty on anodised aluminium frame imports from China in September 2024.

Equipped with SCADA, IoT-based production lines, and a zero-liquid discharge anodising setup, the facility also features an in-house R&D lab and quality controls. The frames meet ASTM and IEC standards and are RoHS and REACH compliant, fully recyclable, and free from hazardous substances—underscoring the company’s focus on quality, sustainability, and innovation.
