Hero Future Energies Signs PPA with SECI for 270 MW Solar + Storage Project
May 03, 2025
Hero Future Energies (HFE) has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 270 MW solar project integrated with an energy storage system (ESS). This marks SECI’s second project to combine solar generation with storage infrastructure, designed to provide a firmer and more reliable supply of renewable energy, particularly during non-peak solar hours.
The project highlights HFE’s advancing capabilities in delivering complex renewable energy solutions that align with India’s clean energy goals. By integrating ESS, the project addresses the intermittency of solar power and supports grid stability, a key requirement as India scales up renewable energy penetration.
HFE shared the news via its social media channels, reinforcing its strategic focus on innovation and energy resilience. The company praised SECI for fostering such transformative initiatives and expressed a strong commitment to the successful commissioning and operation of the project.
With this agreement, Hero Future Energies strengthens its role as a key player in India’s energy transition, showcasing its readiness to tackle the technical and operational challenges of hybrid renewable energy systems.
