IAS Chandra Sekhar Sakhamuri Appointed Executive Director of REC Ltd

REC Ltd., a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power and a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) in the power sector, has appointed Chandra Sekhar Sakhamuri as its new Executive Director, effective January 14, 2025.

Sakhamuri, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Tamil Nadu cadre (TN: 2011), holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Madras and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Business from Puducherry University.

Before joining REC, he served as the Director of Sericulture in Salem, Tamil Nadu, where he played a key role in managing and promoting the state's sericulture industry.
