Apr 16, 2025
A high-level delegation from Singapore, led by Mr. Lee Chuan Teck, Executive Chairman of Enterprise Singapore, met with Smt. Nidhi Khare, Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), at Atal Akshaya Urja Bhawan, New Delhi. The meeting focused on advancing bilateral cooperation in the renewable energy sector.
Key areas of discussion included offshore wind, green hydrogen, green shipping, and biogas. Both sides expressed interest in leveraging each other’s expertise and technological strengths to accelerate clean energy development.
The engagement reflects growing momentum between India and Singapore to collaborate on decarbonization technologies, infrastructure development, and joint ventures that support both nations’ sustainability goals. With India targeting 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030 and Singapore actively investing in clean technologies abroad, such partnerships can play a pivotal role in shaping regional energy security and innovation.
This strategic dialogue paves the way for future collaborations, pilot projects, and potential policy exchanges between the two countries in key areas of the global energy transition.
