Indian Infrastructure & Project India Commissions 8 MWp KUSUM Solar Plant in Gujarat

Apr 19, 2025

Indian Infrastructure & Project India (P) Ltd has successfully commissioned an 8 MWp KUSUM Solar Power Plant, marking a major stride in India’s pursuit of sustainable energy. The project reinforces the broader mission of the KUSUM scheme—empowering farmers and rural communities through decentralized, clean power generation.

Located in Gujarat, the project’s commissioning ceremony was honored by the Chief Engineer of PGVCL, whose visionary leadership and continuous support were pivotal in bringing the project to life. The plant is powered by Hopewind’s 385 kW and 250 kW inverters, setting new standards for performance, reliability, and efficiency in decentralized solar infrastructure.

This milestone reflects a powerful synergy between public leadership and private execution. It showcases the potential of solar to drive rural electrification, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and support India’s decarbonization targets. Special appreciation was extended to Vikas Roy from Wattglow Power, as well as to Prashant Suthar and Parikshit Bambhania, for their roles in realizing this vision and offering a platform to showcase Indian Infrastructure & Project India’s capabilities in the renewable energy sector.

This project is not only a technological achievement but a celebration of partnerships and shared commitment to a greener tomorrow, aligning with India’s ambitious renewable energy goals.
