Indofast Energy has partnered with Bike Bazaar to roll out 5,000 electric two-wheelers across India within the next 18 months, a move aimed at boosting EV adoption and supporting the nation’s gig economy with sustainable mobility solutions. The initiative will focus on sectors such as quick commerce, e-commerce, and food delivery, while also expanding Indofast’s battery-swapping network to reduce downtime and lower operational costs for fleet operators.

Rajat Malhan, Senior Vice President at Indofast Energy, said the collaboration highlights India’s strong momentum toward electrification, with EV sales already surpassing one million units in the first half of 2025. He added that the deployment will cut carbon emissions and enhance efficiency in delivery operations. Karunakaran Vadakkepat, Co-Founder and Joint Managing Director of Bike Bazaar, emphasized that the partnership will empower gig economy workers with affordable, reliable, and eco-friendly mobility options.

Aligned with the Automotive Mission Plan 2047, the collaboration is expected to accelerate India’s transition to clean mobility and transform last-mile logistics by creating a greener and more inclusive transportation ecosystem.
