IREDA Commits Rs 3,000 Crore to Support Odisha’s 10 GW Renewable Energy Vision"

"At the Odisha Solar Investor Conclave held in Bhubaneswar, Shri Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director of the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA), reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to advancing India’s green energy aspirations.
Organized by GRIDCO, the conclave highlighted Odisha's ambitious renewable energy (RE) goals, including achieving a 10 GW capacity by 2030.
IREDA’s Strategic Role in Renewable Energy Financing
Shri Das emphasized the critical role of accessible and competitive financing in expediting RE projects. He showcased IREDA’s borrower-friendly operations, which are fully paperless and digitized, enabling seamless support for green energy initiatives.
As part of its commitment, IREDA has sanctioned over Rs 3,000 crore for various renewable energy projects in Odisha. These projects span solar power, hydro energy, ethanol production, and renewable energy manufacturing, underscoring Odisha's growing role in India's green energy revolution.

Shri Das highlighted Odisha’s potential to become a leader in solar power generation and a significant hub for solar equipment manufacturing.
With abundant resources and strategic support, Odisha is poised to make substantial contributions to India’s renewable energy goals.
IREDA’s National Impact
Beyond Odisha, IREDA has established itself as a key enabler in India’s renewable energy transition.
The agency has sanctioned over ?2.08 lakh crore and disbursed ?1.36 lakh crore for renewable energy projects across the country.
Its portfolio includes emerging technologies such as ethanol production, electric vehicle (EV) fleet financing, pumped storage hydropower, and green ammonia.
Driving India’s Green Energy Goals
