Aug 26, 2025
The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) has signed a performance-based Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) for FY 2025-26. The MoU was signed in New Delhi by MNRE Secretary Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi and IREDA CMD Shri Pradip Kumar Das, in the presence of senior officials.
Under the agreement, the Government of India has set IREDA’s revenue from operations target at Rs28,200 crore for FY 2025-26. This comes after IREDA surpassed its target in the previous year, achieving Rs6,743.32 crore against the set goal of Rs5,957 crore in FY 2024-25.
The MoU also specifies various performance indicators, including Return on Net Worth, Return on Capital Employed, Non-Performing Assets (NPA) to Total Loans, Asset Turnover Ratio, and EBTDA. These parameters aim to strengthen IREDA’s operational efficiency and financial health.
CMD Pradip Kumar Das expressed confidence in IREDA’s ability to maintain its strong track record. The agency has consistently earned an “Excellent” MoU rating for four years in a row (since FY 2020-21). In FY 2023-24, IREDA was recognized as the top performer among NBFCs and power sector entities and ranked among the top four CPSEs across sectors.
