ITI Invites EoI for 5 MW Grid-Connected Solar Project in Mizoram

May 05, 2025

ITI Limited, a public sector enterprise under the Department of Telecommunications, has invited expressions of interest (EoIs) for the implementation of a 5 MW grid-connected solar power project at Sumsuih in Mizoram. Bidders must submit their proposals by May 13, 2025, with the bids being opened the same day.

The scope includes design, engineering, procurement, erection, testing, and commissioning of the plant, along with comprehensive operations and maintenance for five years. A tender fee of Rs3,000 are required. The selected bidder must also provide a performance bank guarantee equivalent to 5% of the total work order value, valid for 12 months, which can be offset using the EMD.

Eligibility criteria mandate prior commissioning of solar projects totaling at least 1.5 MW in the last five years, with supporting documents from government or semi-government agencies. Financially, bidders must have a positive net worth in the recent financial year and an average turnover of Rs30 crore over the past three years.

This tender aligns with ITI’s expanding solar portfolio, following recent procurement of 738,000 polycrystalline cells and initiatives for rooftop and large-scale manufacturing projects in Odisha and Uttar Pradesh.
