Jakson Engineers to Invest Rs80 Billion in 6 GW Solar Manufacturing Hub in Madhya Pradesh

Aug 27, 2025

Jakson Engineers, a subsidiary of the Jakson Group, has announced a massive investment of over Rs80 billion to set up a 6 GW integrated solar manufacturing facility at Maksi Phase II in Madhya Pradesh. Spread across 110 acres, the project will be developed in two phases. Phase I will see the creation of 3 GW solar module and 3 GW solar cell capacity, costing around Rs20 billion. In Phase II, the company plans to add 6 GW wafer manufacturing capacity along with another 3 GW each of modules and cells, requiring Rs60 billion in investment.

Construction activities are expected to start within 15 days, with the first modules rolling out by May 2026 and solar cells by September 2026. Madhya Pradesh was chosen for its central location, robust infrastructure, and investor-friendly renewable energy policies.

Beyond manufacturing, Jakson Green is also expanding in green hydrogen and EPC services. The company recently secured a Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) contract to supply 85,000 tons of green ammonia annually to Coromandel International in Andhra Pradesh. It also ranked first in EPC services in 2024 with a 20% market share, surpassing Tata Power Solar.

Earlier this year, Jakson Green partnered with Blueleaf Energy to co-invest $400 million in developing 1 GW of solar projects in Rajasthan, capable of powering 1.5 million households.
