Jindal Poly Films Acquires Full Stake in Enerlite Solar Films India

May 01, 2025

Jindal Poly Films Ltd (JPL) has announced the acquisition of the remaining stake in Enerlite Solar Films India, making it a wholly-owned subsidiary. JPL previously held a 33.05% share in Enerlite, a company specializing in encapsulation films used in photovoltaic (PV) modules, which are crucial components in solar panel manufacturing.

The deal, executed on an arm’s length basis, is expected to be finalized within six months. The move reflects JPL’s strategy to deepen its footprint in the solar value chain, strengthening its position in the growing renewable energy materials segment.

Enerlite has seen fluctuating revenue performance in recent years, with an unaudited turnover of INR 28 crore in FY 2025, compared to INR 43.07 crore in FY 2024 and INR 17.77 crore in FY 2023. Despite the dip in revenue from FY 2024 to FY 2025, JPL’s acquisition signals long-term confidence in the solar encapsulation business and a commitment to enhancing its product portfolio in clean energy manufacturing.

This acquisition supports JPL’s vertical integration strategy and aligns with India’s broader push for domestic solar manufacturing capabilities, especially as demand for localized solar components continues to rise.
